English and Czech of non-native speakers within NLP

Abstract:
The Native Language Identification task (NLI) is to recognize the native language of a writer/speaker. NLI started to attract researchers in Natural Language Processing in 2005. We will present an overview of the results achieved since that time focusing on our NLI research based on written responses provided by non-native English and Czech speakers.
